Pro touring 1968 Camaro Convertible - $185,000

This one off hand built street machine came to our shop a few years ago, with an owner who dreamed of a Sunday Cruiser with a mild but tasteful restoration. After disassembling the car we realized this was going to be a lot more than a basic cosmetic restoration. With some major sheet metal replacement ahead of us, we presented the owners with some custom modifications that had been rolling around in our heads for a while. This seemed like a great platform to test one of our fabricators skills.

The custom creation that sits before you is the end result of just over 2,200 hours of careful planning and incredible skill that we are very proud to have our name on. We are a small shop located in Northeast Oklahoma that has Classic Car blood running deep in our veins. As you can see we take a lot of pride in every car that enters our shop as well as building long lasting relationships with our customers.

Listed below are some of the modifications that were preformed to create this beautiful Camaro. We can’t list all of the subtle changes, but please take the time to really look this car over and see the amount of time and craftsmanship involved in this labor of Love.

The Engine is a Ram Jet 502 Fuel Injected Big Block. That produces 502 Horsepower with 565ft lbs of Torque. It is equipped with an MSD Ignition system, Hooker Headers, custom exhaust with Borla mufflers, Hand crafted aluminum valve covers by Doug Lee Engineuity, and March Engineering bracket and serpentine drive system. Fuel is delivered to the engine from a Rock valley stainless steel tank with internal fuel pump thru hand bent 3/8 fuel line. The Transmission is a Tremec TKO 600 close ratio

5-speed with a manual clutch. The rear is fitted with a Detroit Speed and Engineering 4-Link suspension with coil over shocks and Chris Alston Fab9 rear-end housing filled with an Aluminum carrier and 4.10 gears.

The car is fitted with Budnik wheels with 18x8s on the front and custom 20x12s on the rear. The front wheels are covered with a pair of Michelin 245-40-ZR18 tires and the rear sports a hefty pair of Michelin 335/30/ZR20s. Power rack and pinion steering attached to a Chris Alston Chassis Works front sub-frame help with the steering. Stopping is done by way of 4-wheel disk brakes with a Wilwood master cylinder, Wilwood 4-piston calipers and 13-inch rotors. The brake lines are all stainless steel, hand-bent to custom fit the car.

All the interior coverings were done by Junior McClelland of McClelland Upholstery in Siloam Spring Arkansas. A billet carbon fiber half-wrap steering wheel, Autometer carbon fiber gauges along with an Ididit aluminum steering column and custom hand bent dash grab bar adorn the dash.

Vintage Heat & Air, painless wiring system and 10-inch subwoofer lie hidden beneath. Four bucket seats sit beside a full length custom hand-built sheet metal console, that is fitted with a Pioneer Navigation/CD/DVD  player along with keyless entry, power windows, and a power convertible top.

All painted surfaces were covered with Glasurit base coat clear coat Tangerine Metallic and Black.  All areas including the undercarriage are painted and clear coated. A custom front valance with 69 Camaro driving lights, a customized hood, and smoothed firewall finish out the front. With custom molded taillights, shaved door handles and Hagan flush-mount fuel door finishing the outside. Underneath, there are custom subframe connectors and the wheel tubs have been opened 4-1/2 inches on each side to allow for the larger tires and narrowed rear-end.

We hope you enjoy and appreciate this one of a kind Convertible Camaro as much as we do.
