The Mustang was completely redesigned in 1967. It was made longer and wider which resulted in a much better handling and a smoother ride. The engine selection was the same as the 1966 mustang with one major exception. The 390 c.i. big block rated at 320 h.p. brought some much needed horsepower to the Mustang stable. The G.T. option consisted of grille mounted fog lamps, power front disc brakes, dual exhaust with chrome quad outlets, F70x14 tires, GT gas cap, handling package, rocker panel stripes and GT or GTA (automatic) emblems. This Springtime Yellow 390 GTA is being offered with a deluxe Marti Report verifying the cars originality. We have completed a cosmetic and under hood restoration to exacting standards. The under body has been left original to show just how well this car has been cared for the last 40 years. This car sports all of its original sheet metal and its entire original interior including the original carpet. The engine is believed to be the original but as you true Ford lovers know Ford did not VIN stamp these big block engines until 1968. The engine has the correct carburetor, fan, exhaust system, air cleaner assembly and original style air conditioning compressor and all of the original brackets and pulleys. The transmission and rear differential are also original. This is a true piece of Ford History that is very desirable and truly unique. The 390 GTA was Fords best offering in the 1967 Mustang. These cars are getting hard to find in their original condition. The original cars like this one will continue to increase in value for years to come. |
